Cancer remains a major cause of death in Nigeria, with thousands unable to afford care. Many patients abandon treatment due to high costs. This project will help 20 low-income cancer patients get financial and emotional support. Donations will cover chemotherapy, tests, and drugs, helping them continue treatment and live longer.
Most cancer patients in Nigeria earn below $2 daily. The high cost of diagnosis and chemotherapy makes treatment nearly impossible. Some start care but cannot finish due to lack of funds. When treatment stops midway, the cancer spreads, leading to unnecessary pain, loss of life, and grief for families already struggling to survive.
The project will offer treatment subsidies for low-income cancer patients. Funds will pay for chemotherapy, diagnostic scans, and essential drugs. Patients will also get counseling and follow-up support to stay committed to treatment. This will reduce treatment breaks and help them focus on recovery instead of financial stress.
This project will give 20 indigent cancer patients a fair chance at completing treatment and living healthier lives. It will also raise public awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and continuous care. Over time, it will reduce deaths linked to late or incomplete treatment and bring hope to families across Nigeria.
