Dear Donors,
We are seeking support for the Cancer Treatment for Low-Income Patients project. At this time, no donations have been received. Without funding, we are unable to begin assisting patients who urgently need help to continue their treatment.
Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death in Nigeria. Many patients earn below $2 per day, making the cost of diagnosis, chemotherapy, and essential medicines far beyond their reach. Some begin treatment with hope but stop midway when funds run out. When this happens, the disease can advance rapidly, causing severe pain and avoidable loss of life.
This project will provide treatment subsidies for 20 low-income cancer patients. Donations will help cover chemotherapy sessions, diagnostic scans, and prescribed medications. In addition, patients will receive counseling and follow-up support to help them stay consistent with their treatment schedule.
Reducing financial pressure allows patients to focus on recovery rather than worrying about how to pay for the next session. Consistent treatment increases the chance of better health and gives families renewed hope during a very difficult time.
The long-term goal is to demonstrate that targeted financial assistance can prevent treatment interruption and reduce deaths linked to incomplete care. Public awareness about early diagnosis and steady treatment will also be promoted within communities.
Thank you for your kind attention this matter
