The project is on-going, we have had 2 trainings of home support workers to support seniors and people with disabilities within their homes and 250 individauls are being served within the confort of their homes in activities of daily living, mobility, recreational activities and avoiding isolation through our age friendly home care for seniors program. We have also expanded our capacity building program and included mental health support for children, youth and their families and 2SLGBTQI+.
Since the inception of this program 4500 youth have benefited from these services and over 200 familes have particpated in the program. We also included community nutrition for the seniors and chronic disease self management especially those with diabetes. This involves cooking sessions, meal preparation and nutritious foods .
We are still seeking for donations and calling upon foundations and individuals to support our programs for the seniors, youth and children. Most of these children are vulnerable and have physical disabilities.
