Charity Foundation Caritas Moldova provides medical care, home visits, and day treatment to over 100 vulnerable elderly in Chisinau Municipality and Glodeni district of the Republic of Moldova. Our beneficiaries are typically poor, and without family support, and many of them are bedridden. Funds raised will help to accomplish their most basic needs: meals, showers, laundry services, paramedical items that will support their health/life.
Caritas Moldova in close collaboration with the Social Assistance and Family Protection Directorate of the Drochia and Taraclia Districts would like to help other 133 people with severe disabilities. A good part of these people is immobilized in bed and dependent on another person for primary care (hygiene, nutrition, movement). The Directorate provides a personal assistant to each beneficiary but does not have additional financial means to help the heirs with basic care products.
Caritas Moldova is raising funds to maintain programs and provide safe environments where elderly feel that they are living a proper life. Your contribution ensures beneficiaries with basic needs they've come to rely on; also, will directly help to secure a normal and safer environment for all the people who depend on our services for their health and livelihood. Some of them can spend the terminal stage of life in dignity, free of pain, in a reasonable nutritional and hygienic condition.
Maintaining and ensuring the continuity of our strategic priorities enables us to focus on our mission of providing food, paramedical items, showers and clothes, washing machines and other basic needs. This financial support will also secure our ongoing program, in partnership with the local community, to provide a safe and healthy living environment for the 91 sick and vulnerable people.
