In 2021, staff at NYF’s New Life Center (NLC) provided specialized, holistic care at the NLC facility to two new children with HIV/AIDS. This care included residential treatment, life-saving medical attention, psychological counseling, nutritional rehabilitation, and cultural/educational/recreational activities.
Our staff also began using the phone to reach past patients during the pandemic, significantly increasing our reach from previous years. In 2020 alone, our team has been able to provide continued care to approximately 141 children. This outreach proved essential as we learned that many individuals required supplemental nutritional relief.
Thanks to support from friends like you, our team was then able to deliver this nutritional support on two occasions (December 2020 and February 2021), and ensure that the children were still in good health. This outreach also included other kinds of continued support, like follow-up care, medication delivery, and/or other situation-specific care.
We are so grateful for your ongoing love and support to make this all possible!
