Thanks to caring supporters like you, children and their mothers living with HIV/AIDS, who might otherwise be ostracized, are receiving education, medical support, psychological counseling, and guidance at our New Life Center.
“Kamal” is one of 70 children and teens who received lifesaving treatment last year. The 13 year old boy’s mother passed away due to AIDS two months after giving birth to Kamal. His father, Krishna, also living with HIV, suddenly left their family home and has been out of contact since.
Kamal didn’t show clear symptoms of HIV until he turned 11 and grew seriously ill. He was diagnosed as HIV-positive at a hospital in Kathmandu. His terrified grandparents who had already lost their daugther to AIDS, turned to NYF’s New Life Center for help.
Kamal is recovering well with ongoing support and medical treatment while his grandparents learn how to help him thrive despite his illness. Kamal’s future is brighter because of caring friends like you.
Your support helps save lives. Thank you for donating to NYF’s critical work.
