This project will inspire and guide young people 15-23 years on how to make informed career choices. To help them find their passion and enhance workplace productivity in the future, the young people will have virtual sessions focused on increasing self-awareness and information on careers opportunities available. . This will not only benefit the young people, but will also influence and bring about local transformation to their communities.
Statistically, 9 out of 10 Ugandans who have completed any form of education are informally employed or unemployed. There is also low productivity among employed young people and it is because they lack Career Guidance as students. This has led to increased unemployment and inefficiency at the work. The Foundation will be conducting career guidance sessions which will address self-awareness and exposing of young people to a variety of careers to help them make informed choices.
With informed career choices, a young person will be in position to choose a suiting career which will in the long run lead to job creation for both the young people and other fellows. This will also lead to maximum productivity at work which gives job security, high productivity both in quantity and quality. It will also improve the process of career path choosing.
The project will inspire, guide and provide career paths information to at least 500 young people to allow them choose suitable career paths for themselves which in turn will lead to job creation, increased productivity in the workplace, a motivated and productive workforce with positive contributions to the community.
