Our new school year is underway in 5 orphanages in Vietnam! And despite covid-19 seeming to be on the rise in many locations around the world, with no new cases in Vietnam in recent weeks, schools have been permitted to open - allowing the Kidspire classes to take place under fairly normal circumstances. We are taking extra precautions by giving students extra space, wearing masks, washing hands and using hand sanitizer.
As the school year is underway, we are also taking steps launching Technovation 2021 by reaching out to potential partner collaborators in local international schools and organizing the curriculum goals that must be in place before we can successfully roll out the program to all of our partner orphanages.
The most exciting news is that our very own STEM coordinator, Tra My, has been made a regional ambassador for Vietnam. Her experience in guiding multiple teams of girls through the Technovation curriculum in past years has well prepared her to be an Ambassador and we are excited to celebrate this accomplishment with her.
We feel like we are well on our way to starting the Technovation curriculum in January and submitting our projects to the Technovation judges in May 2021.....right on schedule. Thanks to each of you for your support. Although we have not reached our funding goal for this project, we are utilizing other funds that we received for covid-19 relief - enabling us to proceed as we continue to raise funds.
