The year 2014 has been another great one for Casa de los Ángeles! In July, 400 square meter piece of land was donated to us, being the first step to a dream we have had for many years. That is enough land to create a playground for our 100 children.
Our children love going to the park where they enjoy playing on the swings, the slide, the monkey bars . . . but it is a long walk for 3 and 4 year olds. When we ask Ricardo what he wants to do today, he always responds, “Ir al parque!” Go to the playground! The children are going to LOVE having a playground right out our backdoor. Ricardo will be able to play there every day.
In September we created a playground project on Global Giving and the response has been terrific. We are almost to our goal of $10,000 because YOU have given, because YOU have confidence in the work we do. We want to say thank you for being a part this important work. We thank YOU for your donation. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of those we serve. Hopefully we will begin construction of our playground in the first weeks of the new year.
