Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your continued interest in our project to empower 200 women in the Wakiso, Butambala, and Mityana Districts. Your belief in the potential of these women is what motivates us every day.
Current Progress Status
We want to be fully transparent regarding the project's timeline. We are currently still working to secure the necessary funding to reach our goal of $55,000 to fully launch our planned activities.
As a result of this financial gap, we have not yet been able to conduct the scheduled skills training, entrepreneurship development, or financial literacy workshops for the 200 women targeted by this project.
Preparations and Next Steps
We remain deeply committed to the "Celebrating Women Who Shape Us" project. Our team is actively utilizing this period to ensure we are ready to move forward the moment the full funding is secured.
Our focus is currently on:
Curriculum Finalization: Refining the training materials for maximum impact and cultural relevance.
Logistical Planning: Finalizing agreements with trainers and securing appropriate, safe venues for the workshops in the three districts.
Future Activity Outline:
Skills Training: Equipping women with highly marketable vocational skills.
Entrepreneurship Development: Providing foundational knowledge to start and run successful small businesses.
Financial Literacy: Teaching essential saving, budgeting, and management skills.
We are actively pursuing grant opportunities and reaching out to potential corporate partners to help us close this gap. We promise to keep trying until we reach our goal and will share a detailed report of activities immediately upon initiation.
