Summary: For International Women's Day, we focused on "Celebrating Women Who Shape Us" by hosting a hands-on training day. The women learned sustainable cooking methods and home organization skills that will save them time and money.
1. Sustainable Energy: Paper Briquettes The women were excited to learn how to turn waste paper into briquettes for charcoal. This skill is a "double win":
Environmental Impact: It reduces the need for firewood and traditional charcoal.
Economic Relief: It provides a free source of fuel for their homes.
2. Culinary Innovation: 3 Ways to Cook Rice We explored three different efficient ways to prepare rice. This training focused on:
Nutritional Value: Maintaining the best quality of the food.
Fuel Efficiency: Using less heat and time to achieve a perfect meal.
3. The Art of the Home: Organization Skills A happy home starts with an organized space. The women learned techniques to arrange their living areas more effectively, which they promised to implement in their own households immediately.
The Result: A Promise of Continuity The most rewarding part of the day was the joy and the commitment from the participants. They didn't just learn; they promised to carry these activities forward into their daily lives and share them with their neighbors.
