Infant care is back!

Babies are back in our care
Babies are back in our care

Hello Supporters of Centro Infantil de los Angeles,

Your generous and recurring donations help us pay qualified teachers and we have been able to pay our preschool teachers their full salary.  Muchas Gracias!!!!  You are helping many families and teachers.

Thanks to your continued support and advocacy we continue to offer high quality, Early Childhood services to some of the lowest income families in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  This school year began with children, ages 3-5, attending classes in person at our campus.  They were masked and ready to learn!

We have been very motivated and encouraged by your support and as you may know, when people feel motivated and encouraged their dreams grow.

Our dream of reopening an Infant Care Center

One month ago, we reopened our doors to care for 7 babies at the Centro Infantil campus!  We have not served infants since the pandemic closed our doors in 2020.   There are many families, volunteers and supporters who are ecstatic that we have resumed daycare services so the parents of our babies can work to support their family.

Several of our hard-working parents, mostly single mothers,  reached out to our Director Patricia Palacios Cortez and encouraged her and the Board of Directors to open a new class for infants.  These mothers are willing to pay a little bit, monthly,  to help cover the cost of a teacher's salary,  (As you may remember, we were not able to afford a teacher's salary).

Now that people are comfortable with travel again, we are seeing volunteerism increase.  Won't you consider helping out either in person at the school or remotely?  Contact Tammy at info@centroinfantil.org or Cinthya@centroinfantil.org

This project "Start the Celebration by Giving an Education" will be renamed for the 2022-2023 calendar year. We will send more information on this at a later date.

You are all angels!

Thank you,

Tammy Kjos
