Prevent violence and crime in Mexico through music

El proyecto del Sistema MUVI trabaja con niños, niñas y adolescentes de 7 a 17 años, pero, ¿qué pasa con los y las alumnos que están por salir y no saben qué hacer después? 

Según nuestros y nuestras estudiantes, MUVI se ha convertido en parte de su vida y salir de él puede ser un poco difícil. Por esta razón, trabajamos en unión con Cummins, en una serie de pláticas llamadas "Conversatorio, la Vida Después de MUVI" y "Cummins Platicando, la Vida Después de MUVI". 

En la primera plática, hablamos con maestros y maestras de música contando su experiencia sobre estudiar música al terminar la preparatoria. 

Para la segunda, se habló con voluntarios de la empresa Cummins y de cómo decidieron estudiar otra carrera, pero sin dejar de lado sus gustos y pasatiempos personales.

En cada una de estas pláticas se habló sobre cómo elegir la carrera, los posibles retos por enfrentar en la vida universitaria y las oportunidades laborales que hay para cada elección.

Estas charlas nos han sorprendido por su impacto en los y las jóvenes participantes. Les ha apoyado en saber qué esperar cuando se estudia música o cualquier otro tipo de carrera. Asimismo, conocer los tiempos de estudio, los retos de vivir en un lugar fuera de casa y las nuevas exigencias de esta etapa de la vida. Así como la importancia de hacer algo que te guste y apasione. 

En MUVI nos interesa todo el proceso de los niños, niñas y jóvenes para ser felices y que tengan habilidades que les sirvan para toda la vida.

The MUVI System project works with boys, girls and adolescents from 7 to 17 years old, but what about the students who are about to leave and do not know what to do next?

According to our students, MUVI has become part of their life and getting out of it can be a bit difficult. For this reason, we work with Cummins, in a series of talks called "Conversation, Life After MUVI" and "Cummins Talking, Life After MUVI".

In the first one, we spoke with music teachers about their experience studying music after finishing high school.

In the second, they talked with volunteers from the Cummins company, talking how they decided to study another career, but without leaving aside their personal hobbies.

In each of these talks, they talked about how to choose a career, the possible challenges to face in university life and the job opportunities that exist for each election.

These talks have surprised us by their impact on the young participants. It has supported them in knowing what to expect when studying music or any other type of career. Likewise, know the study times, the challenges of living in a place away from home and the new demands of this stage of life. As well as the importance of doing something that you like and are passionate about.

At MUVI we are interested in the whole process of children and young people to be happy and have skills that serve them for a lifetime.
