Most of the areas of the Sundarbans coastal region of Bangladesh are lacked of electricity. Sundarbans coastal communities have to bow down to the gloominess of night due to lack of electricity. Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is an environmental development organization which has been trying to reduce electricity depravity of the coastal people by supporting them solar lamps since 2014.
The organization is trying to raise fund from the GlobalGiving for this purpose. So far, we have raised 910 $ from fourteen donors and expect to draw the donors kind attention and get the total amount 15000 $ for this project. It is our expectation that by 2030 we will be able to raise the total fund for this project.
We are sharing the update situation of our fundraising with the local community regularly. The villagers believe it that one day they will get solar lamps by the support of kind hearted people.
This is our heartiest request to the donors, please come forward and reduce the sufferings of those poor coastal people through donating for solar lights.
