Because of geographical location electricity has not reached completely in coastal reason of Sundarbans. Due to high price of goods poverty is increasing day by day in Sundarbans coastal reason. Women use kerosene lamps or have to cook food on daylight only. Students have to skip their study hours at night.

Impact:

To continue student’s education lighting up villages at night, an initiative is underway to distribute different types of 3000 Solar Lamps and 504 solar home systems among Sundarbans coastal area families. More than three thousand coastal families of the Sundarbans coastal region union are now using renewable energy.

Feedbacks from the beneficiaries:

A supported school going children’s father express his feelings “After Covid-19 the price of all goods are increased, it is really hard to meet up the basic needs. It’s really difficult to buy kerosene for my son’s education purpose. My son is very good at education; my son goes to the school regularly. By the help of BEDS solar light he continues his education, Thanks a lot to BEDS for giving a light for son’s education purpose.

We truly appreciate your support for these future leaders. We hope that our kind hearted donors will spread out their helping hands for the betterment of the underprivileged coastal students by starting monthly recurring donations;
