Geographically and spatially coastal communities along the shore of the Mangrove Forest Sundarbans are among the most vulnerable. Where they have to fight for their daily survival and education is surely on the top. Moreover, the dropout rate from the schools, colleges is accelerating at tremendous rate as the expense is getting higher day by day.

For living alongside the cost, the risk of being damaged by the natural calamities like cyclone, tornado is very high. Discontinuity in electric supply is one of the major effects after any natural calamity and as the government is failing to produce that much electricity, students are facing a lot of difficulties.

Bangladesh Environment & Development Society (BEDS) is working to mitigate the problem of electricity for the students of the coastal community to some extent. We have given solar lamps to 2900 students till now so that discontinuity in electricity can’t be a reason of hindrance to their way of education.

BEDS believe education is for all and electricity can’t be the reason of obstacle in their way.

We would like to thank all our donors for being so kind to us and We are requesting our respected donors for their cooperation so these students can enlighten their life with education by starting monthly recurring donations.
