The coastal communities living along the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest face constant challenges, both geographically and environmentally. Life here is a daily struggle, and for many families, providing basic needs often takes precedence over education. The high cost of living has caused a worrying rise in dropout rates from schools and colleges, making it increasingly difficult for students to stay in the classroom.
To address this issue, the Bangladesh Environment & Development Society (BEDS) has stepped in, aiming to reduce the impact of electricity shortages on students’ education. By distributing solar lamps, BEDS is ensuring that a lack of electricity doesn’t become a barrier to learning.
These solar-powered lights have transformed the evening hours for students, offering bright, reliable illumination. With this, students can now focus on their studies without worrying about power cuts. It's not just about lighting up a room—it's about empowering young minds to reach their full potential through sustainable, renewable energy.
At BEDS, we believe that no student should have their future dimmed by a lack of resources. Education is a right, not a privilege, and we are committed to making sure that electricity is never an obstacle. We reach out to our generous donors for support, so that together, we can continue lighting up the paths to knowledge and opportunity for these resilient students.
We truly appreciate your support for these future leaders. We hope that our kind hearted donors will spread out their helping hands for the betterment of the underprivileged coastal students by starting monthly recurring donations;
