Education can change 93 children's lives in Mexico

We are very happy to be able to greet you again. Once again, we thank you infinitely for continuing to support us in our beautiful work. Thanks to you, the children and teens of the Albergue were able to take advantage of the school reinforcement services offered by our educational program and with this, they were able to improve their school performance during this period.

In our educational program we offer what we call "school reinforcement" which consists of the accompaniment of an educator when the children are doing their homework. During the reinforcement sessions, the children's skills are strengthened, the aspects in which they have difficulties are identified and support is provided so that these are gradually overcome. Likewise, with children who present greater learning difficulties, special education therapies are provided, which provide more specialized help for their educational needs.

Last year, a pedagogical evaluation of the children and adolescents of the Albergue was carried out, which allowed us to identify that, at a global level, in Logical-Mathematical Competence from 20.95% they increased their level to 31.10% and in Reading and Writing from 59.96% to 71.56%.

This progress is a great achievement for our Institution, since it refers to the impact of the educational program in the lives of our users. The children enter the Institution with various nutritional, emotional and even cognitive difficulties that significantly hinder their educational performance. All this, mostly due to conditions of extreme poverty and adverse family factors.

The contribution you provide to this project strengthens our work, which day after day, contributes to the significant change in the current lives of our users and undoubtedly, the life they will have in the future.

Estamos muy contentos de poderte saludar nuevamente. Una vez más, te agradecemos infinitamente por continuar apoyándonos en nuestra hermosa labor. Gracias a ti, los niños y adolescentes del Albergue pudieron aprovechar los servicios de fortalecimiento escolar que ofrece nuestro programa educativo y con ello, pudieron mejorar su desempeño escolar en este periodo.

En nuestro programa educativo se brinda lo que llamamos “reforzamiento escolar” que consiste en el acompañamiento de un educador cuando los niños realizan sus tareas escolares. Durante las sesiones de reforzamiento, se fortalecen las habilidades que presenta el niño, se identifican aquellos aspectos en los que presenta dificultades y se le brinda apoyo para que estos poco a poco sean superados. Asimismo, con los niños que presentan mayor dificultad de aprendizaje, se otorgan terapias de educación especial, que proporcionan una ayuda más especializada a sus necesidades educativas.

El año pasado, se realizó una evaluación pedagógica a los niños y adolescentes del Albergue lo cual permitió identificar que, a nivel global, en Competencia Lógico-Matemática de un 20.95% aumentaron su nivel a un 31.10% y en Lectoescritura de un 59.96% subieron a 71.56%.

Este avance es un gran logro para nuestra Institución, ya que refiere el impacto del programa educativo en las vidas de nuestros usuarios. Los niños entran a la Institución con diversas dificultades nutricionales, emocionales e incluso cognitivas que dificultan significativamente su desempeño educativo. Todo ello, debido mayormente a las condiciones de extrema pobreza y factores familiares adversos.

La contribución que proporcionas a este proyecto fortalece nuestra labor, la cual día tras día, abona al cambio significativo de las vidas actuales de nuestros usuarios y sin duda, la vida que tendrán en un futuro.
