BEDS has been working for the development of the Sundarbans coastal community since 2013. The coastal people live below the poverty line and do not know how to get maximum benefit from the minimum resources. BEDS has been trying to promote integrated farming in this region. BEDS trained the local community on home stead gardening, fish farming, poultry and livestock rearing. BEDS taught the community to use each of the component of their household for income generating activities and also supported some of the local women. Now they are rearing livestock as well as poultry in their house. They use the yard of their home for vegetable cultivation and also discharge fishes in the pond. Now, every sector of their household become production and the women are getting monetary benefit from the products. Now every house has become a small business model.
There are lots of hard working coastal women who need the support for their economic benefit. We are requesting all our donors to start monthly recurring donation. Please click the following link; https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/changing-life-by-empowering-women/?show=recurring
