Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is working for the betterment and livelihood improvement of the coastal community in Southern part of Bangladesh where coastal people live in and they are fully depending on nature.
Objectives of cooperative society:
i) Work together
ii) Use natural resource without hamper the nature
iii) Community based product produce
iv) Run the business and gain profit for the community people.
To fulfill these objectives cooperative members are producing mangrove pickle, honey and tea that is marketing in nationally and also reaching the international tourist. By attracting their native touch, gaining the business profit.
BEDS wants to scale up this model in all over the region and without the support of the well-wishers it’s will not be done.
BEDS is currently trying to raise funds from GlobalGiving platform in order to help those marginal people in the way of income generation for their better future with better economic conditions. We also hope that through taking support from various corners they will be able to use their products for earning their sound livelihood.
