Dear donors,
In recent months there have been big changes due to the pandemic, both beautiful and sad. Our Ludoteca, has become the educational center of the community, since classes remained online in Peru during the whole past semester (Children have not been physically in school since December 2019!). The girls and boys in the area need an adequate space to study, equipped with the necessary tools to carry out the tasks they receive from their teachers: internet connection, printer, educational materials and extra school support. We have adapted as best we can, with the resources we have, and we have turned into a "Ludo-school".
The promoters have become "assistant teachers" for more than 45 girls and boys, who, despite the difficulties involved in online education, remain motivated to study and, with our support, have improved their grades. Their parents are very happy and grateful, especially since many of them completed only primary education and cannot give them the extra support they now need.
In January, special summer activities have returned. We want children's holidays to be fun and for them to enjoy them to the fullest, despite this pandemic context. We are carrying out pastry, craft, and dance workshops, always with great care for each boy and girl and taking all precautions to prevent Covid-19.
Thank you so much for your support and for allowing us to provide the children in our community with the services they need. Be safe and know that you are always in our hearts.
Warm regards,
Eveli Leyva and the AGTR Team
