Scholars - Palliative Care World Congress

By Liliana De Lima | IAHPC Executive Director

Thank you for your generous donation to the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) “Education Reduces Serious Health Related Suffering” project.

During this month of June, the IAHPC provided 5 scholarships for individuals to participate in the 18th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) which took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The grantees to our program include:

  1. A pediatric palliative care physician from Neiva, Colombia.
  2. A palliative care physician from Yerevan, Armenia.
  3. A quality and research nurse from Beirut, Lebanon.
  4. An advocacy officer in Kampala, Uganda.
  5. A senior professor of radiotherapy from Jaipur, India.

Congratulations to the grantees! We hope that the congress provided excellent opportunities to expand their knowledge and their networks to advance palliative care policies and care provision in your countries. We look forward to their reports in the next few days.

Scholarships such as these, were made possible due to the donations you have given to the “Education Reduces Serious Health Related Suffering” project.

From the entire IAHPC team, thank you for your generosity.
