Children COVID-19 Taskforce aims at sensitizing the population in Juba south Sudan on coronavirus through homesteads awareness on prevention to stop further spread. The initiative's activities will reach out to the internally displaced persons in the UN established Protection of Civilians site in Juba, South Sudan. The initiative aims to provide the less privileged and street children with face masks and sanitizers to keep them safe from coronavirus.
The misconception by the majority of the population in juba about the COVID-19 pandemic and the reluctance in maintaining the guidelines of preventing the virus' transmission as the number of infections keeps on the rise.
The project will mitigate the misconception and reluctance by the majority of the population in Juba in safeguarding against the novel coronavirus through the extensive and consistent awareness on the prevention methods from the homesteads level as the initiative aims.
Most homesteads will maintain guidelines of preventing the transmission of the novel coronavirus as the impact of the project spans from one homestead to another and eventually reduces the number of local transmissions.
