El Covid19 nos ha movido/COVID19 has moved us

Queridos donantes,

Esta crisis mundial ha traido sufrimiento a muchas personas que han sido contaminadas por el virus, además de ellas, las repercusiones económicas han sido dramáticas gracias a la cuarentena obligatoria ordenada por varios gobiernos incluyendo el colombiano, esta medida ha afectado rápidamente a quienes viven de la economía informal. A este gremio pertenecen en su gran mayoría las familias de los niños del CEII Caminitos, haciendo más difícil su vida y poniendo en riesgo el bienestar que se ha procurado hasta el momento.

La Fundación Los del Camino ha sido contactada por la empresa privada con el fin de disminuír los efectos económicos negativos de esta pandemia en estas familias y en otras que se encuentras en la misma situación. Gracias a las campañas que desarrollamos en diferentes zonas del país, contamos con una base de datos que identifica claramente a quienes viven de los ingresos que genera diariamente el trabajo informal, con esta información pudimos organizar equipos en 19 ciudades del país y con el aporte económico se planeó entregar 1 mercado cada 15 días y durante 3 meses a 3.362 familias en necesidad, esta campaña acaba de terminar en el mes de junio pero gracias a su organización y transparencia la empresa privada se ha motivado en hacer una segunda entrega para seguir apoyando a quienes más lo necesitan. Nosotros estamos muy felices de ver que en medio de las crisis hay quienes piensan en los más necesitados y tenemos la certeza que juntos avanzaremos y llegamos más lejos.

Esperamos que todos ustedes y sus familias se encuentren bien y que sean testigos de la bondad del ser humano. Sabemos que todos saldremos fortalecidos y con lecciones positivas aprendidas que harán que tengamos un mejor mundo.

Dear donors,

This world health crisis has brought suffering to many people who have been contaminated by the virus, as well as the economic repercussions that have been dramatic due to the obligatory quarantine ordered by different governments including Colombia. These decisions have affected especially those who live from the informal economy. The vast majority of families from de CEII Caminitos' Children belong to this type of economy, which have made their lifes a lot more difficult and have placed at risk the well being that have been acquaried up until now.

Los del Camino Foundation has been contacted by the private sector to find a way to minimize these negative economic effects brought by the crisis to these families and to others that find themselves in the same situation. Thanks to the campaigns that we have done in different cities around the country, we had gathered a database that clearly identifies those who live from the daily income produced by their informal work and with this information we were able to organized teams in 19 cities and with the economic support we planned and delivered grocery packages every 15 days during 3 months to a total of 3.362 families in need, this campaign has ended in the month of june but by virtue of the organization and the transparency achieved by the foundation, the private sector was motivated in performing a second round of deliveries to continue supporting those who need it the most.

We are very happy to see that despite being in the middle of a crisis, there are those who think in the most vulnerable and we are certain that together we will move forward and reach even further.
