Build an Education Center for Children in Colombia

Entendiendo la importancia de la salud mental y en  pro de disminuir el impacto psicológico y sobre todo promover la prevención de situaciones que vulneran la integridad emocional de los niños, se buscó el apoyo de la facultad de psicología de la Universidad San Buenaventura de la ciudad de Cali, teniendo como resultado el acompañamiento de 3 psicólogas que realizan su practica social con enfoque comunitario y que desde agosto  a traves de un ejercicio diagnóstico, se han encargado abordar las situaciones relevantes que aquejan a los niños del CEII y a sus familias, para proceder a formular e implementar talleres que empoderar y dan herramientas a los niños para tener una mente saludable con su autoestima fortalecida. Este nuevo aporte nos acerca a proporcionar la atención integral que le permitirá tener herramientas para vivir con equilibrio y aportarle a un mejor futuro.

Understanding the importance of mental health and in order to reduce the psychological impact and, above all, promote the prevention of situations that violate the emotional integrity of children, support was sought from the psychology faculty of the San Buenaventura University in the city of Cali, resulting in the support of 3 psychologists who carry out their social practice with a community focus and who since August, through a diagnostic exercise, have been in charge of addressing the relevant situations that afflict the CEII children and their families, to proceed to formulate and implement workshops that empower and give children tools to have a healthy mind with strengthened self-esteem. This new contribution brings us closer to providing comprehensive care that will allow you to have tools to live with balance and contribute to a better future.

Hemos creado un espacio para que nuestros niños encuentren en la lectura un mundo seguro donde se pueden refugiar y desarrollar su pontencial, ¡hemos creado un Picnic Literario!

En este espacio lleno de color y tranquilidad, los niños encontraron el ambiente ideal para realizar lecturas en voz alta, incentivandolos a que se expresaran en un ambiente seguro donde son escuchados y reconocidos. Las lecturas fueron de temas diversos, siempre ocn la motivación de compartir sus reflexiones de los temas abordados desde la base de la  inteligencia emocional y los valores. Más adelante, a través de la plastilina y tuvieron la oportunidad de expresar su visión de las historias y representaron a los personajes descritos en los textos, ahí pusieron toda su creatividad en acción y la presentaron ante sus compañeros.

Gracias al éxito de este primer Picnic Literario, lo hemos incluído dentro de las actividades programadas cada mes para el refuerzo académico y psicoemocional para establecer bases sólidas y saludables en la mente y los hábitos de los niños del CEII Caminitos.

We have created a space for our children to find in reading a safe world where they can take refuge and develop their potential, we have created a Literary Picnic!

In this space full of color and tranquility, the children found the ideal environment to read aloud, encouraging them to express themselves in a safe environment where they are heard and recognized. The readings were on various topics, always with the motivation of sharing their reflections on the topics addressed from the base of emotional intelligence and values. Later, through plasticine and they had the opportunity to express their vision of the stories and represented the characters described in the texts, there they put all their creativity into action and presented it to their peers.

Thanks to the success of this first Literary Picnic, we have included it in the activities scheduled each month for academic and psycho-emotional reinforcement to establish solid and healthy foundations in the minds and habits of the children of CEII Caminitos.
