The mother of twins Awetash en Millen developed post-natal depression and this turned into a psychosis for which she received medication and follow-up in the hospital. Due to this she was unable to care for her babies and their health started to deteriorate. The family was willing to step in and take over the care of the babies, but when they wanted to buy baby formula for the babies, they were shocked at the price and there was no way they would be able to afford this, even if there had only been one baby. The hospital referred them to us for further assistance and we assisted the family with the needed baby milk, training and follow-up support. The grandmother of the babies became thier caregiver and she has done a great job in this. We have done follow-up on the babies and they are currently in a good situation.
We are so thankful for you as donor! People often sent money because something we do speaks to their heart but we can guarantee you that every donation, no matter how big or small is used to help the vulnerable children around us. Be it little babies who need baby formula, or a street child in need of rehabilitation. Children in crisis deserve to have sustainable support in order that they can thrive and have a better future ahead of them! Thank you so much for playing your part in their lives!
