Thank you for supporting the Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center. Between January and October, 2009, your support and generous donations enabled us to assist 302 families, 109 of these families had children.
We received 1,153 crisis calls and emails from 57 different countries. We assisted 10 families with legal assistance, 5 families with counseling, and provided 3 families with basic needs assistance.
Caitlin McGuan, our Crisis Services Coordinator, received the following message from one of our clients with children, “You have helped us already not to feel so isolated and helpless as we had and that in and of itself has been empowering and energizing in these very difficult circumstances for my whole family.” -American woman in Greece
