Christmas Celebrations for the children

By Jeanne Francoise | Founder Director

Christmas Celebrations for Chirldren's Parliament

Celebrated on December 25 every year, Christmas marks and commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and the second of the Holy Trinity of Christianity. Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. The name 'Christmas' comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then came back to life. It is often combined with customs from pre-Christian winter celebrations. Many people decorate their homes, visit family or friends and exchange gifts. In the days or even weeks before Christmas Day, many people decorate their homes and gardens with lights, Christmas trees and much more.

Every year Christmas is celebrated at Prime Trust on 24th December 2021. This year Christmas was celebrated at Janani Home. This year we invited all the staff members, Interns, neighbours and children of Evening Schools.

After a small prayer, children offered dancing and sang Christmas songs. The children were given gifts and snacks. It was a big fun!
