This Christmas, many children in Ghana will spend the holidays in hospital rooms battling cancer instead of celebrating with their families. Most come from low-income homes and struggle to afford treatment, medication, food, or even transportation to the hospital. This project by Adjah Cancer Support Ghana will provide essential care, medications, nutritional support, and small Christmas gifts to brighten their holiday and bring hope to families in crisis.
Childhood cancer places a heavy emotional and financial burden on families. Many parents cannot afford chemotherapy medicines, supportive drugs, blood tests, or the cost of traveling to treatment centers. During the Christmas season, these challenges become even more painful as families watch their children struggle through treatment with little support. Without help, many children miss critical care, and families feel hopeless during what should be a season of joy.
This Christmas Appeal will provide practical and emotional support to children undergoing cancer treatment. Funds will help pay for essential medications, nutritional support, transportation assistance, and small Christmas packages such as toys, clothing, and hygiene items. We will work directly with hospitals and oncology units to identify children in urgent need.
