In the face of growing health inequalities and unmet medical needs in underserved communities, the health screening project remains a vital intervention that cannot be allowed to fade into inactivity. Designed to offer essential screenings for Malaria, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hypertension, Diabetes, and vision impairments, the project aimed to improve early detection and prevent life-threatening complications. Health counseling and education were also core components, empowering individuals to take control of their health.
Current Status and Setback
As previously reported, the project set a modest yet impactful fundraising goal of $4,005. Unfortunately, only $82 has been raised to date, leaving a substantial gap of $3,923. This financial shortfall has forced us to pause all project activities, including procurement of medical supplies, deployment of health personnel, and outreach to remote areas. The affected communities—already grappling with poverty, infrastructural challenges, and a lack of affordable healthcare—now face prolonged health vulnerabilities.
Why Continued Support is Critical
Without immediate financial intervention, hundreds of individuals will continue to go without basic health screenings and services that could significantly improve or even save their lives. The need for this project is not only ongoing but increasing, as health issues like hypertension and diabetes continue to rise, often undiagnosed and untreated.
Resuming the project means:
Screening at least 800 individuals within the first three months;
Detecting and addressing preventable conditions early, before they lead to costly complications or death;
Providing health education and counseling to reduce risk behaviors and promote long-term well-being;
Extending care to hard-to-reach areas with no reliable health infrastructure.
Urgent Appeal
We are calling on all partners, donors, philanthropic foundations, and well-meaning individuals to help bridge this critical funding gap. No contribution is too small—every dollar brings us closer to restarting our services and reaching the communities who rely on us.
Your support will directly fund:
Medical test kits and basic equipment
Transport and deployment of health professionals
Community mobilization and outreach
Educational materials and counseling sessions
