Another year of school ended, the girls and boys helped by the Ek Abana center received everything they needed to study in good condition and get ready for the end-of-year exams. So it came the well-deserved break from books and the end-of-year party.
This was also a fundamental moment for those who, like our little girls, must forget bad episodes of their lives, experience moments of lightheartedness and learn to open up to others, have new friends and trust again people. Some relatives also took part in the party, and this was an important sign. Natalina's work is patient and revolutionary, every day she opens the dialogue with new families in the neighborhood. Facilitates cases of reintegration, breaking down superstitions and sensitizing on the importance of education.
The strength of sister Natalina are all the people who support her, and that allow her and COOPI staff to continue with consistency alongside the children in need.
What happened during the party?
Music and games could not be missing. The dances were many, inside the hall and outside in the courtyard, while some children played bongos and other instruments. And then others performed in acrobatic games like walking on stilts. The party ended with a shared lunch. The activities go on and soon the schools will reopen: continue to support us to ensure the assistance and protection of Ek Abana center every day in Bukavu.
