Heavy torrential rains in Bukavu in recent weeks have caused flooding and landslides, causing severe damage to the already precarious homes of many families in the most vulnerable neighborhoods and surrounding villages.

In these difficult times, Foyer Ek'Abana has intervened promptly, thanks to the support of COOPI and your continued generosity. Together, we have been able to:

• Purchase repair materials: We have provided families with the necessary materials to repair the damage to their homes, allowing them to return to living in a safe environment.
• Actively involve the community: Our operators have mobilized the neighborhood to participate in the repair work, thus strengthening the sense of solidarity and collaboration among residents.
• Repair the center's courtyard: The heavy rains also damaged the courtyard of Foyer Ek'Abana, a fundamental place for children to play and grow. Thanks to the donations received, we were able to purchase sand, gravel, cement and all the necessary materials to restore it.
