Dear Supporters,
We wanted to give a report on exciting news this week; after we made the appeal on Juneteenth to match the money our founders donated toward helping our midwife students who are Black, Indigenous or People of Color, supporters and allies came through in a big way!
Sixty-nine individuals donated almost $6,000, so when added to the initial donation by Scott and Vicki Penwell, our funds came to more than $11,000 to support our BIPOC students this coming school year!
We wish Claudia Booker was here on earth so we could call her and hear the happiness in her voice to know that 69 good people care about racial disparity around childbirth, and want to see more midwives trained to serve the communities that are hurting right now.
Thanks for your support in this campaign, and thanks for your continued prayers for our students to succeed! Knowing this many people are behind them is sure to be a big encouragement to them, beyond the financial help.
Blessings and Love,
The Mercy In Action Team
