In the last quarter, Hope Uplift Foundation's Water Project has been immensely successful, covering diverse geographical locations including Lakki Marwat, Kohat and Karrak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khairpur in Sindh, and Lahore and Ghari Awan in Punjab. We have installed wells, handpumps and coolers, in addition to bearing the running expenses of plants.
One of the locations for our water project is our food station at Gajjumatta, Lahore called Ahsan Qadam Food Station. At this location, free of cost nutritious meals are provided to around 300 people on a daily basis, mostly daily wagers in an underprivileged area. These individuals already have to face the uncertainty of whether each day will bring them work and provide for their families. In addition to providing food to them, we can now provide them cold and clean drinking water in the scorching summer heat.
