Dear friends of Splash:
I just returned from a trip to Ethiopia with a few teammates from the US. It was the first time we had visited our work and seen our colleagues in person in two years!
Unsurprisingly, I came away with renewed inspiration and respect for what our team has been able to accomplish against the challenging backdrop of COVID-19, dramatic inflation, supply chain disruptions, and political unrest.
Splash’s work in Addis Ababa passed the halfway point toward citywide coverage with 49% of schools now having safe water and 50% equipped with handwashing facilities. We anticipate Addis Ababa will reach 78% coverage by the end of December 2022.
Splash believes that all children in cities throughout the world should have access to reliable clean water, hygienic sanitation, child-friendly handwashing facilities, and menstrual health programming so that children can learn and thrive. By supporting our work, we know you do, too!
