Splash wants every kid to have clean water, clean hands, and clean toilets. In Ethiopia, our goal is to bring sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs to all 500 kindergarten and primary schools in Addis Ababa by 2025.
Today in Addis Ababa, Splash is serving over 33,680 children in 30 schools, 8 orphanages, 6 shelters and 2 hospitals, and we're just getting started! The number of children and institutions benefiting from Splash is expected to grow rapidly as we ramp up implementation of our WASH programs in 2016. Currently, Splash is collaborating with the Addis Ababa Education Bureau and other regional actors to strengthen partnerships and align goals with existing government priorities, all while targeting the largest number of children in the neediest areas. It's taken a lot of hard work and a lot of generous people, but we are making steady progress toward our goal of 100% coverage in Addis Ababa.
As a donor, you can be assured that Splash will continue to work tirelessly until every child in every school in Addis Ababa has clean hands and quality health and hygiene education.
Thank you for continuing to bring joy and clean water to children in Ethiopia!
