With the unwavering support of community members and donors, AWARD Pakistan has launched a vital initiative to construct three Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plants in underserved villages of Punjab. These facilities aim to provide safe and clean drinking water to communities that have long relied on saline and arsenic-contaminated water sources, which have led to a rise in waterborne diseases and serious health risks, especially for children and women.
Surveys reveal that nearly 75–80% of people in nearby villages depend on unsafe underground water, and Pakistan is on the verge of becoming a water-scarce country by 2025. In response, AWARD has raised USD 5,254 toward its goal of USD 7,000 for building an RO plant in a rural area of District Faisalabad. The increased cost is a result of 46% inflation, making your support more critical than ever.
In the meantime, AWARD has continued installing hand pumps nationwide, offering relief to communities without safe water. The local people have expressed deep gratitude to AWARD and GlobalGiving for these life-saving efforts. To complete this project and extend its impact, we humbly appeal to our generous donors and supporters to continue standing with us. Help us ensure that no child or woman is left without access to clean drinking water in rural Punjab. Your donation can make a lasting difference
