Giving Tuesday: Bonus Day & Protect Climate Day!

By Susan Williams | Director of Development, EESI

Change is coming to Washington. Please protect our climate by giving today. You are needed more than ever!

Starting NOW (at Midnight), EESI is competing with many other worthy nonprofits on the Global Giving platform for gifts and matching funds from the Gates Foundation. It will match 50% of #GivingTuesday donations starting at midnight, but only while matching funds last.

You and I know we need to engage with Congress in the new year and all year long on sustainable energy, clean fuels, more sustainable communities, and bipartisan solutions to climate change.

You make that happen with your gift today. And, when you begin new recurring donations on Global Giving any time between Giving Tuesday to December 31, recurring gifts will be matched at 200%, up to $100, on the fourth donation.

On January 3rd, the new Congress will meet for the first time—with new staff and a need for knowledge and stories about the benefits of clean energy, multimodal transportation, and sustainable infrastructure.

They’ll need to understand that our military sees climate change as a threat multiplier and destabilizing force—and that they want renewable energy to make their operations less dangerous. We'll showcase these voices.

Our representatives need to understand that retrofitting homes creates good jobs that can’t be outsourced, and helps families, their constituents, save money on energy bills—bills that are way too high for too many Americans.

You can help make sure this happens when you give generously to EESI today. Please be as generous as you can--and help us advance clean energy and protect the climate!

With your gift, you ensure that EESI will be there, providing stories and information about clean energy and climate—acting in the public interest, and in YOUR interest!

EESI was proudly founded by a bipartisan group of members of Congress who understood that environmental and energy issues are not Democratic or Republican—and that good information is needed for good governance.

Today EESI is an independent nonprofit, whose work is made possible by people like YOU.

Please show your support starting now because it's Giving Tuesday!

All year  EESI showcases commonsense ideas to policymakers and the public. Now is the time to give back during Giving Tuesday! Thank you so much!
