Challenge

Millions of people with disabilities in Thailand have to face physical and social barriers everyday, preventing them from making the most of their lives. Most of them then ended up relying on charity and government budget as a disabled-person because of their lack of confidence to accomplish difficult goals and have no opportunity to show what their real potentials are. It is society, designed and run by non-disabled people, that puts those barriers up but it can be changed once we all do it.

Solution

"Do NOT give a man a fish but TEACH him how to fish", meaning we will develop the infrastructure to address the needs of persons with disabilities that allow them to live independently by themselves BUT FIRST they need to gain enough confidence to challenge their real potential. Through interacting with the sense of compassion of volunteers, this project can help support the children as well as create public awareness to support the development of infrastructure towards inclusive society goal.

Long-Term Impact

- The children with disabilities gain their self-confidence on being differently-abled and changed their attitude towards independent living concept. - The supporters & volunteers changed their perception about disabilities and see themselves in such an important part to create an equal society. Once everyone is aware of this social movement, we will see more opportunity for persons with disabilities and soon will see inclusive society. It is what we call a Sustainable Social Responsibility.
