Greetings All,
We at Imani House, would like to extend our gratitude to those who have supported our Brewerville Maternal/Child Clinic in Liberia. With your donations, we have been able to continue to serve 17,000 women and children within the community. It is important for us to keep our supporters updated on the status of our Clinic and the measures being taken to assure safe practices.
We are extremely saddened to report the passing of two members of our staff whose lives have been claimed by Ebola. Ms. Theresa Kpapima and Mr. Morrison Nyei, were hard working people whom greatly aided our mission in improving the healthcare of Liberian women and children and will sorely be missed. Our hearts go out to their families and friends.
As a continued safety precaution for our staff as well as the community we serve, we closed down the clinic for a 21-day decontamination period. Currently, we are working closely with the Ministry of Health in order to reopen the facility in a safe and precautious manner. There are steps being put in place to strengthen our defenses against the Ebola virus. Our goal is to reopen and continue to provide medical services to the women and children of Liberia.
We will continue to update you with news on the clinic and Liberia. Thank you so much for your support. This is a difficult time, but we cannot and will not lose hope.
Warmest Regards,
