If you ever want to know how the economy is doing, check out the local food pantry. We are busy and that is not a good thing. We are busy because of the increase of cost of food. I am sure you have noticed it at the grocery store! People are struggling. Our numbers have increased not just at the pantry but our programs as well. The SOS Soup Kitchen hands out free hot meals twice a week. They are seeing an increase on the number of meals that are served which puts stress on the organizations that are hosting. Our Tote Me Home program is growing. More kids are being identified at school as being food insecure. Growth is not always a good thing. Hunger is an ongoing issue. We need your support to continue helping people. Thank you!
