"Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle" - Plato
A single mother came in on Tuesday morning while the Pantry was operating. She looked tired. We had to update her information into the computer because she had not been in to see us since January of 2020. She said she had not needed to come in but with the ending of the additional SNAP benefits she was going to be short this month for groceries. Our job was finished and she got up and hurried to go shop with a volunteer. Hunger is very prevalent in our society. It touches everyone. Your children or grandchildren go to school with fellow students who rely on the free and reduced lunch for their main meal of the day. There are people who skip meals so they can afford their medicine. People have to make a decision on which bill to pay because they can not afford to pay them all. Life can be rough. Remember that everyone deserves a little kindness because you have no idea what decisions they had to make today.
Please continue to support us financially as we help our Community. Thank you.
