The newly elected Government has now started to announce its new social policies which also include the fire affected victims. This is causing movement and renewed hope for a faster processing of all the pending cases.
Emfasis works with the families of the victims on a bi-monthly basis. Either in teams on an individual basis, we promote social involvement, workshop participation and always having a purpose for the daily life.
Hence, with our guidance and positive encouragement more tangible progress has been documented regarding:
It is very noticeable that the bonds with their area and their community/neighbors are strong so it's very hard for them to move along to elsewhere. Nevertheless, common experiences make them more empathetic to each other as they move together towards empowerment.
Overall, more than 40 residents have participated in our streetwork appeal, workshops and sessions.
