In the first months of Community Justice for Resilience in Mozambique, AAAJC has taken important steps to restore dignity and strengthen resilience among vulnerable families.
Through our mobile legal aid clinics, we began addressing land and education conflicts that had left families without protection. Civil registration campaigns documented displaced children, giving them access to schools and health services for the first time. One mother told us, “Now my daughter exists in the eyes of the law.”
Youth and women paralegals were trained and equipped with materials, and they are already supporting community cases. In rural areas, paralegals gathered outdoors to exchange strategies, while one of our young activists spoke on national television, amplifying community voices and advocating for inclusive justice.
These moments show that justice is not abstract — it is lived in everyday struggles and victories. Each child registered, each case resolved, and each paralegal empowered is a step toward communities that thrive with dignity and inclusion.
We are proud to share new images that illustrate this journey: civil registration in action, paralegals engaged in dialogue, and banners that remind us that Justice means dignity and Access to Justice.
Together, we are building resilience, reducing exclusion, and shaping a future where families live with dignity and youth lead justice initiatives.
