The violence of the fighting has gone, but the damage to houses and livlihoods are gone too.
"Return to your fields!" But what with, the oxen were eaten by armies comeing through, the carefully hewn ploughs were used to roast the meat... the carefully stored seed for next year's sowing was all no more.
Abraham's Oasis (AO) employed an experienced Agricultural Worker to help 200 farmers in the immediate locality. This has included yokes of oxen and ploughs that could be shared around and thus fields were prepared for seed that Abraham's Oasis provided. Farmers went home, houses repaired and lives starting on the road to recovery. All this you have helped with, thank you!
The toilets were totally inadequate for the Internally Displased People (IDP), so AO repaired existing toilets and built new ones! The road to the centre that AO was responsible for was muddy and unsafe, so smoothing out the road. Basic supplies purchases, blankets, mattresses, cooking pots, and simple stoves to help the IDPs simply survive.
A BIG thank you for your amazing role in helping these beautiful people!
