As abandoned cows are a growing problem in Ahmedabad as well as in Gujarat, we receive many cases of maggot wound, road accident, dehydration, horn cancer etc. on the daily basis. Recently an abandoned cow was rescued and brought to our hospital by the localities that was severely injured from a road accident. The cow had multiple fractures in her leg and tail. Her injured tail was highly infected due to multiple injuries and our group of vets decided to perform an amputation surgery in order to save her life.
After the successful surgery the cow is rapidly recovering under the supervision of our doctors, who are constantly following up with her regular medication, nutrition and dressing. She will be placed to her natural habitat once completely cured.
