In India Cows are treated as God by Hindu Community .In urban slums areas people shelter the cows mainly for milk production. They are practicing the ancient method for providing food and health hygiene to those innocent animals. They treated them as productive tools not as a pet or companion. So when the cows stop producing milk or get diseased, they quickly abandon them. Despite the close relationship with human and being an important structure in the human society, a large number of cows across the city of Ahmedabad suffer from abuse, negligence and abandonment. We at Jivdaya Charitable Trust under this project rescue treat and rehabilitate the abandon homeless cows in the city and give them a chance to lead a healthy and happy life. Last month we have successfully treated 5 cases of Horn fracture, 3 cases of leg fracture and 10 cases of severe dehydration.
