Greetings to all our donors and well-wishers,
First of all, thank you for your generous donations towards the Save Homeless Abandoned Cows in Central Gujarat project, we could do this only with your help and we are immensely grateful for that.
In India, up to 50 million cows are suffering on roads in unacceptable conditions. They suffer painful health problems and shorter lifespans due to over breeding, poor housing, confinement, and over medication. There is no relief for city residents when it comes to stray animal menace. A large number of stray animals keep wandering in most areas of the city. The presence of stray animals, including cows, bulls, and buffalos, in various residential localities and on main city roads has become a common sight in the city. The number of these stray animals has been increasing constantly, due to the abandonment of cattle in the dairy industries and local owners, despite repeated requests of the residents, the local administration has failed to tackle this problem. Resulting from this, many road accident cases were increasing in the city, every day we have received many cases of cows injured in deadly road accidents in our hospital. Last month we have received a lot of cows with open fractures and spinal injury due to deadly road accidents. All of them were in serious condition and had long-term treatment till they have regained their health. Our team treated a total number of 19 cases of abandoned cows in the city. Below is the detailed summary for the same.
