The wet season is the time of year when most of a region and average annual rainfall occur. In the wet season, air quality improves, freshwater quality improves, and even animals have adaptation and survival strategies for the wet season. Every year we experience our busiest time during the monsoon - the heavy rains make everyday tasks much more of a challenge. Road accidents increase during the monsoon and the major victim of these unfortunate incidents are the stray animals, mainly cows. Without proper shelter, food and care their health deteriorate drastically and become prone to various types of diseases like injuries, skin infection, flu etc. in one hand pouring rain and muddy roads play a significant role in the accidents and on the other hand the heavy weight of these large species makes the recovery sluggish.
Last month we have received a lot of injured cows and calves in our facility. Some of the injuries were recoverable and some of them are in serious condition. Our team of doctors worked hard to relieve their pain with proper medication and treatment. Once they regained their health, we have shifted them to a large species shelter for their betterment.
Here is a treatment summary of our ‘Save Homeless Cows in Gujarat’ project for August’21.
All these animals on the streets are living a better life - all because of your help and generous donations. Thank you all for saving many lives with your love, prayer, and your kind contribution. People like you, are constantly making a change and strengthening us to fight against all edges. We are proud to have you in our family. Thank you for being kind to all these speechless lives.
