Increasing traffic and speeding vehicle is a common sight on the city roads. Unfortunately, this city has a lot of abandoned cows as well those who are homeless and live on the street. Monsoon is a curse for all these shelter-less animals. A few days back, we have received a cow named raja that had a fractured leg due to a speeding vehicle. It was raining when Raja was crossing the road. A speeding vehicle could not see Raja from the far as it was raining, and by the time raja was visible to him, he could not control his speed and walloped raja. The poor cow had a fractured leg and lying there on the road for days until a cow rescue group rescued and brought him to Jivdaya for treatment.
Raja’s old injury was infested with maggots. It took real time to heal with medication, proper diet, love, and care. He is much better now and has shifted to a permanent home to be safe and loved.
Speed thrills us, but this thrill can cause many innocent lives. It’s a request to you all that whenever you are driving or riding, especially at night or in the monsoon, be a little careful. Life is more important than the thrill of speed.
